What is the new earn rate for rewards?

You will earn one (1) reward point for every $4 spent in signature transactions.*

What types of PERKS Points rewards can I earn?

There are 3 new types of rewards you can earn:

  1. Perks Points Mall: Shop popular merchants from our Perks Points Mall for exclusive offers and earn an additional five (5) Bonus Points per $1 spent.
  2. More Points Online Store: Shop merchandise and gift cards from our More Points superstore and earn an extra three (3) Bonus Points per $1 spent.
  3. Daily Deals and Discounts: Save on dining, shopping, fitness and more when you browse the daily deals section of our Perks Points Mall.

Are bonus rewards still offered?

Yes. Bonus reward points will continue:

  • Direct Deposit or Bill Pay Rewards:
    New Customers that open a new checking account and add either Direct Deposit or Online Bill Pay and make a minimum of 3 bill pays within 90 days of opening the checking account will receive Bonus Rewards.

  • Anniversary Rewards:
    New Customers that opened a new checking account and kept that account open and active for one full calendar year will receive Anniversary Rewards points.

  • Relationship Bonus Rewards:
    Existing customers that maintain between 3 to 7 accounts and services with their bank will continue to receive periodic Bonus reward points just for doing business with us.

Do Rewards Points Expire?

Yes. Rewards points will expire three (3) years from the date of the original points were posted to your rewards account. Expired rewards points cannot be re-instated because of non-use.

Can I TRANSFER points from one rewards account to another?

Yes. You may transfer points to other rewards customers with whom you share a joint checking account; you will still be able to view all their points (debit card, credit card, special bonuses and Relationship Reward bonuses in one convenient place at www.MyRelationshipRewards.com.

Can I CONVERT points from one rewards account to another?

Yes. If you also own a credit card as well as a debit card, you may CONVERT points FROM your credit card rewards account TO your debit card rewards account. You will still be able to view all their points (debit card, credit card, special bonuses and Relationship Reward bonuses) in one convenient place at www.MyRelationshipRewards.com

What is the difference between TRANSFERING points and CONVERTING points?

Transferring points: You may transfer points to other debit card rewards customers with whom you share a joint checking account

Converting points: You may convert points from a credit card that you own to a debit card that you own. You may only convert points one way—from your credit card to your debit card. You may not convert points and give them to another person unless you share a joint checking account. In this case you would convert points from your credit card to your debit card account that you share with another person. Once those points are converted into your debit card account, you may then transfer those points to your joint checking account holder.

Where can I see my rewards balance?

Customers may view their balance anytime online at www.MyRelationshipRewards.com or by calling l.800.924.1807 to speak to a rewards program representative.

Once I have redeemed my points, how long does it take to receive my gift card?

Redemptions for retail, restaurant gift cards and other gift cards may take between two to four
(2-4) weeks after the request date of the reward to arrive. Redemptions for merchandise may take between four to six (4-6) weeks after the request date of the reward to arrive.

How do I enroll in the rewards program?

If you have a The Columbia Bank checking account plus a The Columbia Bank debit card, you are automatically enrolled in the Relationship Rewards Debit Card Program. Just use your current card and remember to always choose credit and sign for your purchases to accumulate points.
(In some cases, a merchant may not require you to SIGN for your purchase because the value of that transaction is below $30 dollars. In those cases you will still earn rewards points as long as you do not use your PIN number to complete the transaction).

How do I earn reward points?

You earn points on signature-based purchases when using your Relationship Rewards Visa Debit Card. There is no limit to the number of points you can earn.

  1. Simply make your merchandise selections.
  2. At checkout, remember to always choose CREDIT, and SIGN for your purchases.
    (In some cases, a merchant may not require you to SIGN for your purchase because the value of that transaction is below $30 dollars. In those cases you will still earn rewards points as long as you do not use your PIN number to complete the transaction).
  3. Earn Reward Points!

You do not earn points if you choose "debit" or use your PIN number for transactions.

How do I access my account information?

Go to www.MyRelationshipRewards.com to see the points you’ve earned and view account information. You can also call 1.800.924.1807.

Where can I use my Relationship Rewards Debit Card?

Use it as an ATM card to access deposit accounts 24-hours a day.

  • Withdraw cash, make balance inquiries, deposits and transfers at more than 28 million locations worldwide displaying the VISA®, CIRRUS® or STAR® symbols.

Use it anywhere Visa Debit Cards are accepted - in person, by phone or online:

  • It's like a credit card - without paying credit card interest.
  • Purchases are deducted directly from your checking account.
  • Transaction details appear on monthly checking account statements.

Can I combine debit card and credit card reward points?

Yes. You can CONVERT your credit card reward points TO your debit card reward account. All your points will be displayed on the Debit Relationship Rewards program website at www.MyRelationshipRewards.com or you can view your rewards balance by calling a rewards representative at 1.800.924.1807.

Why does my card show a zero point balance?

Here are common scenarios that cause a zero reward point balance:

Scenario 1:

Your first account at our bank was a savings account with a debit card.
You later opened a checking account and linked it to your existing debit card.

Solution:
Please call 1.888.TCB.BANK (1.888.822.2265) and request that your checking account be listed as the first account on your existing debit card.

Scenario 2:

You have a joint checking account with two debit cards.
Prior to May 17, 2009, you linked two debit cards together to earn reward points.

Solution:
As of May 17, 2009, you can no longer automatically combine points earned on individual debit cards. All points earned up to May 17, 2009 were applied to the primary account holder’s debit card.

You can still get the benefits of COMBINING points! Simply TRANSFER your points to any eligible debit card account you own or jointly own, here's how:

  • Go to www.MyRelationshipRewards.com and log in to your account.
  • Under "My Account," select "Transfer Points."
  • Choose the accounts and the amount of points to be transferred. All eligible accounts will be listed in the drop down menus. There is a 25 point minimum to transfer.
  • Select the "‘Submit your point transfer" button.
  • Review your transfer information carefully.
    Please note: Once you make a transfer, you cannot transfer your points back.
  • If you wish to change the amount of points to transfer, enter the new amount in the "Points to transfer" field and select the "Update" button.
  • Once you have reviewed all information and are ready to confirm the point transfer,
    select the "Confirm your point transfer" button.
  • To see the point change reflected; select the "Return to My account(s)" button.
